Born on July 4, 1983 in Curitiba, Parana’, Brazil, Isabeli Bergossi Fontana is of Italian descent. At a mere 13 years of age she made it to the finals of the 1996 Elite Model Look, and moved at 14 years of age from Brazil to Milan, Italy. At the age of 16, in 1999, Victoria’s Secret caused a stir when they hired the 16 year old girl to appear in the Victoria’s Secret lingerie catalogue. She was quickly then hired by Valenino, Versace, and Ralph Lauren among others. She went on to model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar among many more.
Isabeli Fontana has been the face of many national and international campaigns including Shiatzy Chen, Armani Jeans, Chanel, Colcci, Disritmia, Dolce and Gabbana, Nicole Farhi, Emporio Armani, Escada, H&M, Hugo Boss, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Revlon, Roberto Cavalli, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, and many more.
After being photographed by Steven Meisel, she was presented on the September 2004 cover of American Vogue as one of the “Models of the Moment.” In 2008, Isabeli Fontana made her debut on the Forbes The World’s 15 Top-Earning Models list at place 11, having earned $3 million. She also has appeared in the famous, sexy Pirelli Calendar on a number of occasions, including in the 2011 calendar, which features models posing as Greek and Roman gods, photographed by fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. In 2011, Isabeli was one of the judges for Miss Universe. She is single, and the mother of two children.
