Hollywood Sentinel Publisher, screenwriter, and poet Bruce Edwin releases here one of his love poems, from his upcoming book of poetry, “Love Poems.” The book is now finished being written, and is undergoing editing. It will be published later this year.
Just As Wildly As It Came
Of all the lips my mouth hath kissed
tis yours my dear I’ve mostly missed,
I recall your eyes-those stars I climbed
as you clenched my heart inside your fist,
And as the hands of time unwind,
I loved so hard-I ceased exist
Within our windowless house of heaven
we swelled with heat that scorching breath,
And sweating with passion from dusk till’ seven
we loved our bodies till their death
And in beds chamber sent forth our souls
like two worlds collided-we grew and grew
Exploding in each other’s spirits,
we split the universe in two
And like a supernova we bore
a planet and a sun each night,
And as our passion burned before
not once, not ever losing sight
Yet did each day and hour it grew
our wild desire for loves sweet charm,
And drunk with power of love we knew
the danger of that love could harm
For such a love so wild and strong
could surely never be tamed to stay,
And so just as wildly as it came
our love exploded-gone away.
