“Californian Soil” is the irrefutably beautiful third record from London Grammar, whose success and longevity as a band has stood the test of time for over a decade. Following its premiere, the band released their return single the perfect electropop cut “Baby It’s You,” arriving as their follow up to their 2017 UK #1 album “Truth Is A Beautiful Thing.” The single, co-produced by George FitzGerald, hit an impressive 40-plus New Music Friday’s across the globe. The band also performed the single and a stirring cover of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights as part of Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month. They also performed the single proper on Later…With Jools Holland (the third time they have guested on the lauded BBC show).
About Hannah Reid
Frontwoman Hannah Reid has been on a journey of self-discovery. After a reported long and frustrating period of feeling powerless over her own path as an artist, the singer/songwriter has–with the support of her two friends and fellow bandmates Dan Rothman and Dot Major–claimed her role as leader of the British trio, a shift that soon restored her clarity of purpose. Reid guided the band through the making of their most dynamic album yet, a decidedly feminist and utterly transportive body of work.
